How We Use Your Information

The data you provide is used for two specific purposes:

• To Generate AI-Powered Subtasks: The text of your task is sent securely to our backend service, which uses the Google Gemini AI API to analyze the task. The AI then generates a relevant list of subtasks, which is sent back to you. This text is used "in-the-moment" to fulfill this request and is not stored or logged on our servers.
• To Improve Our Service: We use the anonymous data from Google Analytics to understand how our users engage with Todolyfy. This helps us identify popular features, find areas for improvement, and make the application better for everyone.

Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics to help us understand user behavior. Google Analytics uses "cookies" to collect standard internet log information and visitor behavior information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including a truncated IP address) is transmitted to Google.

For our Chrome Extension, all of your created tasks and subtasks are stored locally on your own device using Chrome's built-in storage.sync API. This means your to-do list is private to you and is not stored on our servers.

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties, with the sole exception of the services mentioned above (Google Gemini AI and Google Analytics), which are essential for the functionality and improvement of the extension.
